2nd SymbNET capacity-building for RMAs at the IGC

The 2nd SymbNET Capacity Building for Research Managers and Administrators (RMAs) event: “Understanding the Lump Sum funding scheme in European collaborative projects from the pre-and post-award point of view.” occurred last Friday, 24th March 2023 at the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência in Oeiras, Portugal.

The event counted 50 pre- and post-award professionals from the SymbNET partner institutions (FCG-IGC, ITQB NOVA, Kiel University EMBL, and the University of Lausanne) and 13 R&I National Institutions from the Lisbon area. The motto of this capacity-building event was to discuss how Research Managers & Administrators (RMA) can better support collaborative projects with the lump sum scheme during the pre-award and post-award phases. The program included invited speakers from the European Commission DG R&I, National Innovation Agency (PT), University of Ljubljana, Ghent University, and the SymbNET partners Kiel University, EMBL and FCG-IGC.
